a nod to 1968
Keith Meadors – USA (Illinois) 2008 Dark Highland Green #5695
Supercharged, MRT Bullitt hood, rear window louvers, American racing wheels, Bullitt logo seats, purchased from original owner on 6/22/2018 I have always been a Mustang fan and admired the 1968 Bullitt movie car, but it was not within my budget. I then started researching modern versions of this classic and settled on a 2001 Bullitt in 2017. It was an amazing car and while fun to drive, I preferred the styling of the original Bullitt, so I sold the 2001 Bullitt a year later. I felt the 2008 Bullitt was created in a way that more closely resembled the original Bullitt Mustang. After an exhaustive search, I was lucky to purchase a well-cared for 2008 Mustang Bullitt on June 15, 2018 from the original owner Philippe Guyony in Mequon, Wisconsin. Phillippe had upgraded the engine in 2014 to include a Vortech Supercharger and additional suspension parts to assist with managing of the new 483 rwhp. I have upgraded the outside and inside appearance by adding the MRT Bullitt hood, side scoops, rear window louvres, deck lid, Bullitt Logo Seats and American Racing torque thrust wheels. My goal was to make it look as close to the original 1968 Bullitt movie car, and I do feel it was a success. My wife, Tina, has been fully supportive with the transformation of our Bullitt and it has earned two major awards. At the 2018 Muscle Car and Corvette Show (MCACN) our Bullitt earned the Blue-Ribbon award. In 2019, at the MCA Grand National Mustang show, the Bullitt was award gold in the trailered modified division. I feel privileged to experience the fun of driving our current Bullitt car. |
